Hello you lovely ladies - I just wanted to say a big thank you to the lovely CSG members who rang or texted me to make sure I hadn't been washed away by our mini tsunami on Thursday. Both my cottage and my daughter's house missed flooding by a mere inch or so but several others weren't as lucky. However I was at work that day and could do little as our beloved Cottage Tearooms was absolutely swamped. Our season ended very abruptly as bright orange muddy water roared in through the front, from the main high street and through the kitchen from the gardens. Luckily no-one was killed or injured (apart, sadly, from a few drowned sheep) but I think we are all still a bit shocked by the speed with which mother nature show us she's boss! Thank you again ladies, I was overwhelmed by your kind thoughs xxxx
