Do you think we could adopt Jane's suggestion to get Bastion(from Zweigart)adopted into the cross stitch guild? I asked him for some help with fabric for my patchwork group, and he's been incredibly helpful. I definitely think we should make him an honorary member of the guild. What does everybody else think?

Anyone who heroically faces a coach load of demented
stitchers with a smile as often as he has deserves
recognition of some kind. I think that must also include
our Malcolm. Give them a medal/badge.

I certainly vote that Malcolm gets a medal!
(not having been on the German trip, I'm afraid I can't comment about Bastion)

Hi Anne
Can Mick have one too.
He's volunteering to go to Norway, if Jane can organise it.
He think's his hardanger is now up to cutting out (does any one remember his attempt) at hardanger last time?)

I certainly agree that Malcolm should have a medal. He gets my vote everytime. And yes Helen I do remember infact I think I have a photograph of Mick with stitching in hand. (although I think at the time he was unpicking something)

Here here for Bastian and Malcolm. Should Malcolm's name not have been on the Queen's Birthday Honours list? He has put up with us for all those trips, so he certainly should have been given an MBE at least.

Especially Malcolm, who manuevered the coach so well with 35 women on board. Wait. I think those 35 women need a medal as not one of them tried to "help" Malcolm with advice.

Malcolm is an absolute sweetie, and deserves any honour we bestow on him.
