Well, I have decided to ignore anything remotely to do with housework and intend to settle down with my stitching - a picture for DH's big birthday later on in the year. Said person has taken himself off on his Harley to 'Get lost on Exmoor' for a long weekend. The wine is chilling in the fridge, so if I don't surface for a day or two you know why.
And no, I shall not be glued to the TV for the ball flying backwards and forwards somewhere in London. I shall be catching up with episodes of the Bold and the Beautiful.

    Have a good weekend, everybody.

    PS: How's your face, Sally?

  2. Sounds like you are going to have a good weekend Brigitte.Enjoy yourself. My face is a lot better now thank you . The bruising has gone down, still some below my eyes, but my glasses hide it, but I do still have a lovely bump on the top of my forehead and I'm still getting headaches, but not so bad now. I'm thankful that it was not a lot worse.
One good thing is that I've started stitching again so am getting rid of my withdrawal symptons.
Have a good weekend. Will speak to you again when you resurface.

Yes, I thought Imight get some stitching done this weekend, but it hasn't worked out that way I'm afraid. I can't see me getting anything much done at all, because I've had to play nursey all the time. Oh well, if I can grab some time when he's asleep, I might be able to do some!

Barbara, you should have known that men need a slave when they are not well. If you want a bit of peace and quiet, take away the little bell and hide the crutches. All the best, sweetie.

@ Sally: Glad to hear you are getting better.

Brigitte, what a good idea. Had to leave work early today, to take him to physio, and she told him he could do a lot more than he has been doing, and he can use only one stick, which means he can get things from the fridge, and carry them to the table. My slave period might be coming slowly to an end! Didn't manage to pick up a needle at all this weekend - a fork and a hoe yes, but a needle no! Thanks for the advice.
