Mystery Threads

    I have just bought lots of stranded cotton in a charity shop and the owner wrote lots of numbers on them eg E6087, E6315, I want to convert them to anchor threads but have no idea whose they might be -- Can anyone help??? I am relatively new to cross stitch but getting braver all the time and loving it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi there - I've had a look through all my threads (I'm very good at keeping them tidy and organised so if I had any E numbers I would have found them straightaway.) Sadly I have none so can't help you - sorry. Maybe they are American in origin or something.

    They sound a brilliant (and inexpensive!) find though so well done you! I'm sure you will find other things to use them for if you can't match to Anchor threads.

    Pleased you are enjoying your cross stitch - it's a wonderful hobby. Keep using the forum as it's a brilliant way of all keeping in touch and sharing ideas and queries - you will find a lot of support here. Brenda
