? Mounts

    Hi everyone
    My question to you all is do you think that when framing your work that a mount should be used. I have had conflicting opinions from proffesional framers.I have had all my work so far framed and mounted but I sometimes think that some pieces look better without one especially samplers. My only worry is if I do not use a mount and the stitching is touching the glass will it cause damage over the years? Opinions from fellow stitchers will be very welcome.

    Like you I think mount only, if it looks right. I try and squidge some spacing bits on the glass around the frame edge, so the glass does not touch.

    Hello Karen,

    Most of my cross stitch works are pictures and I frame them all and many of them I already did / framed many years ago and they look great, so no problems if the work touches the glass.
