Confetti stitches

    Im working on a project that is full of what I think is called " confetti" stitching. I feel like I'm spending more time changing colors and needles than I am actually stitching and it's making me bonkers!
    Does anyone have advice or know a site that shows a way to have several colors going at a time when stitching? I know I've heard of people doing this before, but I'm afraid of getting my threads all tangled together etc...
    Just had to take a break and VENT! Lol. Thanks for any suggestions or help!
