Does anyone have any experience of buying and selling hand-made craft items online, either through Etsy or any other site? Would be very grateful for any information.

    Dear ByronYu
I think you may have misunderstood the purpose of my original posting. I only wanted to know whether anyone here has experience of buying and selling on other websites such as Etsy, Folksy, eBay, etc. I was not trying to buy or sell items on this forum, nor am I seeking services such as you seem to be offering. Personally, I do not feel that would be appropriate on this forum – what do other members think about this?
    Regards

    Hi Christine,

I have a friend who sells her hand-made jewelry on-line through Etsy. I'd be happy to quiz her if you like or see if she would be OK with me giving her email address to you. She is coming to dinner this Sunday so your timing is perfect!

P.S. - I agree with ComaCalm on the spamming business

    Hi Christine

I sell cross stitch cards through Folksy but only recently. My friends and family buy my items but it is a slow way until you are really well known. I haven't seen any marketing of the site and found it through my daughter's friend who is a member. They are cheaper than eBay and your goods stay on the site for 6 months rather than the shorter times that eBay has. I have decided to give it six months and see whether it has been useful for me.
