    Brenda whats this archaic term you're using? What's "summer"? I don't know about not getting it in Crewe, but we didn't get it in Bristol either! As I write this, its been raining all day, I'm freezing cold despite the fact that I've got two jumpers on, and any thoughts I had about going over the plot have gone out the window, so I shall have to retire to my attic garrett and do some sewing instead. Oh well, hopefully we might get some type of summer sometime next year.

    Barbara - I agree about it being cold - I'm having to wear two thongs at the same time at the moment to try and keep my bum warm - not working though; can't think where I'm going wong.........

    This forum never ceases to amaze me ,! How do we get from " CSG in november " to Brenda and her thermal thongs ? And any way where do they put the thermal bits ?

    Well at least the thought of Brenda and thermal thongs has distracted everyone from blaming me for the poor summer!!

    Oh please don't go there. I had a very disturbed sleep last night cos my imagination was working overtime! No offence meant Brenda - hope you understand that. Only 9 more sleeps to go. Yippeeeeee!!!!!

    Oh I've laughed out loud at all your comments - me in thermal thongs - I ask you! Wonder if you can get them with little squares of aida at the front so's you can cross stitch something in the square?........

    Maybe someone can come up with a design by Leicester.

    Don't know about a floor show though Janet. If I did it'd have to be with wearing high heels as well - I could end up looking like something (back view) of a Beryl Cook painting. God - enough to give us all sleepless nights, let alone Barbara!

    I remember buying a vest + thong knickers set from Avon, three pairs of thongs each with a slogan across the one patch of material. I think the slogans were "Saucy" "Sexy" and "Sweetie" or something like that.
    One of the things I have been keeping a lookout for for years now are Days-of-the-Week knickers. They do days-of-the-week socks. I remember you could get them when you were a child but I think there would be a market for adult versions!
    I even thought about buying a couple of multipacks and embroidering my own. :-)
