  1. Hooray - just been onto Twisted Thread's website and booked my Ally Pally tickets, a two day ticket for 7th and 8th October and 2 Learning Curve tickets - Knitting in Bloom at 1.00 p.m. and Bumble's Garden Needlebook a bit later in the afternoon (forgotten the time!) with the Calico Cat lady (on the 7th.)

I invariably seem to bump into Brigitte Gant when I go doing these classes - we sat side by side doing something last year (spent most of it talking if I recall - oh dear; nothing changes there then). What did we make Brigitte? - can't even remember!

I really enjoy having a two day ticket as I spend the first day doing a couple of classes and looking round the smaller halls and exhibitions then the second day is given over to just the large hall - I can't bear to miss even one stand so I find that takes me the whole day.

It's just so lovely to have these occasions to look forward to and it's well worth booking class tickets early - already there are some classes on the list showing the Sold Out sign - agonising if there was something you really wanted to do!

In the meantime we have our lovely Leicester weekend to look forward to as well! Aren't we just so lucky to have this kind of hobby to enjoy so much. See you all there. Brenda

Snap, Brenda, I booked my ticket for the 7th at Ally Pally yesterday, too. Great minds think alike, eh? I have booked a workshop for 11.45h 'Hardanger for the Horrified', not that I find Hardanger horrifying, but it's a good time for a sit down for me. Last year we knitted a necklace, by the way. So, no doubt we will have an optortunity to have a little chinwag at some time or other during the day. I really would have liked to come to the Leicester weekend and would have, had it been a week later. But as I said before, I only get back on Wednesday evening from taking my Mum back to Germany and on the Saturday it's my eldest grandson's birthday so I am dashing off to Norwich at 7 a.m. I shall have to have a look at some stitching days later in the year.

I've booked two tickets fro the saturday and now can't go. Does anybody want them? I'd rather give them away than have them stay in my drawer unused. Please let me know.
