I just wanted to tell you all that I now have prize winning cross stitch.
My friends have got an allotment plot and every year they have a show, where you can enter vegetables youve grown, flowers and flower arrangements, fruit and so on. they also have categories for Jam, cakes, and handicrafts.
I noticed last year that there were many cross stitch entries in the embroidery category, so this year I thought I'd have a go.
I was faced with a bit of a problem picking something out since it seems that I've spent most of my time doing baby samplers which I've then given away to said baby. But I found some nice christmas plant cross stitch which I entered.

My holly got First prize, and my Poinsetta got second prize :-)

Oh course.... this year I was the only entrant.... but I'm not going to dwell on that. A win's a win :-)

Congratulations, Andrea. Quite right, a win is a win. For the others not to enter can only mean that their work was rubbish in the first place.

Well, the secret of my success is to find a competition noone else is going to enter.
    hehe
My current project is a close up rose in shades of yellow. It's a kit from Lanarte. I'm about a quarter of the way through. Assuming I get it done by next August and don't get distracted by other projects!, I'll enter that next year.
