Well, my dears, contrary to my expectations, I did a dummy biscornu and had a go at sewing it up....

Wasnt perhaps the neatest sewing up in the world, probably because I made the darned thing MUCH too small! It wouldnt even qualify as a watbo, more like a woteveristhat!!

But I'm persevering with the stitching of the actual biscornu (it's quite hard as I'm not good on linen) and with any luck and a following wind, it may be ready by Leicester, which is however many sleeps Twinkle Berrett says!!

Christine, do you have a chart on the wall noting how many days it is to the event, which you cross off each day? You always seem to know exactly. If it's 88 sleeps to Leicester, how many is it to the German holiday?

Sorry, but that's over 100 days

(Hint: Leicester = 7th November, so add 22 days)

FYI Leeds next year is over 300 sleeps to go (we really shouldn't be wishing our lives away like this!)

As we don't know when - or if - there will be a Leicester weekend next year, the number of sleeps to go cannot be calculated.

  14. I've just booked for Leeds next year
I like this knowing early then nothing else can get on the calendar first
Christine I do wish you'd stop telling me how long it is to things, the days & weeks go far too fast as it is :(
Going to Emerald Isle tomorrow, back again in a week

Sorry Helen, Sleeps-To-Go is by popular request!

But I usually draw the line at 100.

Christine we do appreciate you telling us how many sleeps it is, and I hope that your wall chart doesn't suffer from blu tack failure and descend to the floor in a crumpled heap! When Germany gets to less than 100, you can let us know for that as well if you wouldn't mind, cos I won't be able to do so, as I can't reach a wall at the moment for the boxes that litter every available surface. Thanks dear.

Barbara: it would give me the greatest pleasure to

    A) provide you with a wall
    B) provide you with a stepladder for your own wall, cos I expect you haven't got one of those at the mo
    C) provide you with a wall chart, a marker pen and blue tak for when you get your very own wall

    Yours sincerely

Gosh, I didn't realise I had such good friends, with an offer like that! Hopefully I'll be able to find my own wall, marker pen, blu-tack and step-ladder very soon.
