It's with a heavy heart & enormous sorrow that we have to tell you all that Mummy died yesterday. In spite of the fact that she was 89 (she'd have have hated me sharing that!), it has still been a huge shock. We don't know exactly what happened but we think that, following a slight chest infection that was making her breathless with exertion, she may have had a heart attack climbing the stairs on her way to bed.
We know how many CSG members who met Mummy enjoyed her company (those on one particular holiday won't forget her accidental discovery of a porn channel on her hotel TV!), and she was very fond of loads of CSG members in return, always asking to have her love sent to them when she wasn't able to be at an event herself.
We have lost a feisty, funny, generous, warm-hearted, loving mum. We had the best parents any children could ever wish for and at the moment, we are both bereft.

Jane, I'm so sorry to hear the sad news. She was always good company on the holidays, and I well remember her discovery of the porn channel. What made it even funnier, was that she managed to "discover" it again, the following night!
All my love and prayers, and big hugs go to the pair of you, and hope that we can meet up again very soon.
Take care of yourselves won't you. Barbara

So very sorry to hear this news Jane, a big hug to you and your sister. Marie was a special lady in more ways than one and will be missed at future CSG events, know doubt she will still keep her eye on us. Take care of yourself - she will always be with you in spirit, especially when you are stitching.
