  1. Not long to go now girls for those of you coming to Bradford! Looking forward to seeing you - faces known and unknown.

Don't forget your specs - and maybe even a spare pair. I removed mine just the other day to place on the bedroom windowledge - just an ordinary unhurried movement and behold the lens fell out as the tiny screw decided to ping out and go I know not where! Can you imagine if that had happened whilst at Bradford - it would have been agony to sit with one eye closed as I tried to manage by looking out of just one side of my glasses. A ha Jim lad, all I would've needed is a ruddy parrot on my shoulder. (Long John Silver for those of you having difficulty keeping up!)

In future therefore there will always be a spare pair in my bag.

See you all on Friday. Brenda

Well, I hope you all will have a fabulous time - I know you will. I will be heading for Dover to catch the ferry across. I am going to see my Mum for a few days.

  3. Hi Brenda

Looking forward to catching up with you and everyone else. I hope that you've got plenty of your stories ready to keep us laughing. You had us in stitches at Leicester.
Sorry that you won't be joining us Brigitte(I hope that you got my email),but look forward to catching up with you another time.
    Until Friday.

Sally, I did send you a reply. Did it not arrive? Would not be surprised as my email page has been playing sillybuggers lately. My son thought I had abandoned him as he did not get any of my emails throughout September and October.

  5. Hi Brigitte

No your email did not arrive. I thought it strange but not to worry I will catch up with you when you get back from your mums. Have a good time.

  6. Have just arrived back after an 8 hour journey from Bradford and it was worth every minute of it. I think that everyone will agree that it was a lovely weekend. Thank you Jane and thank you to everyone there for your company. I hope to see you all again at another of Jane's weekends and of course the holidays. Sally

  8. Hello everyone - wasn't it just a great weekend at Bradford. My feet didn't touch mother earth until Wednesday morning (trip round Asda's - that soon brought everything back into sharp focus!)

I thought the staff at the hotel couldn't have been nicer, making us feel so welcome. A lovely crowd of stitchers, all mixing and blending with each other in such a friendly way. A darling project to work on - I really feel I've cracked it now with Queen Stitch - please can I go back this Friday and do it all again?

So many stayed over on the Sunday night as well which really seemed to make the weekend last longer. Some stayed in the hotel and had a sandwich tea, the piglets of CSG went out to a nearby chinese eat-all-you-can buffet - er - yes, I was one of 'em! When we got back to the hotel everyone was still looking comfortable in their seats so we joined them and had a drink. In the middle of it all was Carole still knitting away (wonder if she does it in her sleep)- funny thing is, whatever that tubular thing is supposed to be, it never seems to get any longer.

As you can imagine by that time we were all so pleasantly relaxed in a nice tired sort of way so our conversation was really of the high-falutin' intelligent style - confectionery - and now I'll let you into a little confidence - did you know Andrea Thompson loves jelly worms - there! - your secret is out Andrea!

Thank you everyone for being such marvellous company. Love Brenda

I put on 4lb according to my scales! It must have been the jelly worms that tipped me over the edge. :-S

  11. I laughed - you're daft the pair of you.

I keep sighing today though - Friday - this time last week - oh if only we could go back a week - I still wouldn't know how to do Queen Stitch properly and you'd both be slimmer!
    (Bitch or what!!) Love Brenda
